Longer Nights

Nights are getting longer. I notice because the human is still awake when I get up and gets up before I go to bed. This morning she was very awake and talkative, and since I wasn't tired yet I let er pet me. I also showed her that I wanted some goodies. She hadn't been very generous with them lately, but today she seemed to be in a good mood. I got yoghurt and sll kinds of tasty vegetables. I also found them all! (The humand tends to scatter my food in my cage, so I always have to search to find it all. Very annoying!) Now I have lots of tasy things in my house. :-)

HA! My dog knows dog

HA! My dog knows dog food is sh*t, so would you really blame them for biggeng and wanting real food? In all honesty, my dog is NOT allowed to beg. But the year when I did feed dog food, he rarely ate, and was clinically underweight because of that. No, I wasn't one of those "my dog only eats people food, please help!!" idiots. My dog was given dog food and nothing else. If he didn't eat, his loss. Which is why he was clinically underweight. To answer your question, dogs that are fed from your plate and allowed to beg (if a dog is NEVER fed human food, more likely then not it will not beg), then it will probably still beg when you sit down chomping on a nice bowl of dog food. If a dog is never allowed to beg, then I don't see anything changing with the types of food given.References :

I'd go with clicker tnriaing if I was you all dogs love clicker tnriaing and respond brilliantly to it.Make sure you are consistent in your tnriaing, provide loads of feedback to your dog, keep tnriaing sessions? short, sharp and focused and also use treats that your dog loves. All the best with your Shih-Tzu, they're great little dogs.

Hi Holly, thank you for reply, yes I can see how the dog might not get the straight line if taguht afterwards. I had a client who had a cattle dog and she did weaves forward and backwards. Because she was so fast she was circling after going through and then going through next leg movement. Owner looking straight ahead hadn't noticed. Took a long time to train it out.
