Hi there,Found this site via google . and I'm SO EXCITED!!!! I'm in Southeastern Manitoba and feel so bmuemd when I read all the southern states blogs about how much earlier they can get started with their SFGs. I can *relate* to snow on April 16th. This is my first year trying SFGing and I'm planning to put 3 4 8 beds in my *front* yard. I live in a town that takes aesthetics very seriously, so I really hope my neighbours are okay with my veggies. I have only shade in my back yard. Hoping to keep a blog about my adventures too, but I haven't started anything yet.I'm going to enjoy reading and taking notes.

I can't wait to try this recipe Becky! Here's a great Stuffed Pepper Recipe I'd like to share!4 large green pepreps1 lb. ground turkey breast1 cup chopped celery1 cup chopped carrots1 cup chopped onion2 tsp oregano1 chopped garlic clove (we garlic everything)1/2 cup fat free cottage cheeseBrown turkey breastAdd veggies & spices to turkey just before it's done cooking and turn heat to low, stirring occasionally until veggies are tender (not too tender though, they still have to go in the oven. While you're stirring your veggies, boil your pepreps for about 10 minutes to soften.Add cottage cheese to meat mixture and stir wellFill pepreps with meat mixture, bake at 350 for approximately 20 minutesThen, enjoy! It's yummy! http://jbwwydfrmgj.com qrshxkz [link=http://realyh.com]realyh[/link]

Snap! Here is a favourite rceipe of mine and a link to the site it comes from for lots more ideas Chicken and Mushroom PieFor this rceipe, which should serve two, you will need:belb (350g) chicken breast, diced1 small onion, halved then sliced7 or 8 small button mushrooms, halved2 cloves of garlic, crushedbc pint (150ml) fresh chicken stockPinch of dried thyme5oz (150g) puff pastry1 tbsp sunflower oilKnob of unsalted butterBeaten egg for glazingPut your oven on to heat to 200 degrees celsius or equivalent. Heat the sunflower oil in a large frying pan and add the chicken pieces to seal. As soon as the chicken pieces have turned completely opaque, add the onion, mushrooms, garlic and thyme for thirty seconds to heat through. Add the mixture to an 8 (20cm) long, rectangular pie dish and pour over the heated chicken stock. Grease the edges of the dish with the butter and cover with the rolled pastry, glazing with the eggwash. Cut a small cross in the centre of the pie to allow steam to escape during cooking.Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until pastry has risen and turned a deep shade of golden brown.
